First of all, thank you to everyone who turned out Sunday morning and did their part in reducing the Zombie population! For those who missed it, we had a great time, with a total of 32 people attending. (Our typical 3 Gun attendance is about a dozen.) Most were able to stay the entire time, a few came and went, but it appears everyone had a great time. Yes, it was hotter than seven kinds of Hades, but who ever said that the Zombie Apocalypse would be held in perfect weather?

A huge thanks to all those who have helped throughout the planning...to those who helped setup Saturday afternoon, those who setup Sunday morning, and those who stayed afterwards and tore down.

Rest assured that the next time we have one it will be in cooler weather, but the beauty of this is we can hold events such as this any third Sunday of the month.

Congrats to Tanner Williams, who won the $65.00 pool for coming in 1st!

Tanner worked really hard to help make this event happen.

Another "thank you" to Jesse Tingler for running Bay 1.

Thank you to Randy Grotts who basically built a new trailer from an old one making it easier to move things, helped run the timer during the match, and brought cold cups of water to volunteers.

Thank you to Joe and Laura Holmes who thought they were there to watch and got roped into keeping score, and a big thank you to my wife Jill, who also was coerced into keeping score and has left me and moved to a convent where the word "Practiscore" cannot be uttered.

Thank you to Shawn Sanderson, who though unable to attend, has provided his knowledge and resources to this.

A huge "Thank you" to Tara Nelson and the Shotgunners who put on the Rib Cook off and were so gracious to split the proceeds with us as well as making available fans and a generator to drive them.

I got a glimpse of what the "5 Stand" shoot looks like, and while I didn't quite understand it, any event that has a thrower mounted to the roof and slings stuff out to be shot at has to be fun.

Tara is still tallying the proceeds, but I understand they did quite well on the rib cookout.

Most of all, a huge "Thank you" to all those who attended and who we hope will now have an interest in Practical Pistol and 3 Gun. (It's not always this hot or this long.)

Unofficially, we cleared about $850.00 after we pay the $64.00 range fee for our 32 shooters, pay about $36.00 in expenses, and $65.00 as the prize.

Thank you again, and please feel free to contact me if there's anything we may do to help you get into these shooting sports.
