We had a great turnout for the State Shoot Off with teams representing OKC,
Duncan and Tulsa area gun clubs participating.  Range conditions were good
with many small groups and high scores recorded.   The Tri City team came
out on top with a score of 1474-41X, followed by Oil Capital (1457-42X),
Oklahoma City (1439-34X) and Stephens County (1332-17X).

I'd like to thank the volunteers who played a large part in making this
event run smoothly - we had more help offered than we could use.  From RSOs
to scorers, target runners, refreshments, and event management, they made it
look easy.     Tip of the shooting cap to Mike Ross, Larry Melton, Gale
Towery, Frank Maynard, Amy Dyer, Eric Wedge, Paul Ott and Hazen Bazinet.

Regular MBABR matches resume next month on the 12th and we look forward to
seeing you there.

Tomahawk Range Makeover

Hazen, Toby McAdams Stephen Rudnick and his crew Amber, Violet, Eva and Riker  renovated the tomahawk range today.

The renovation was based on the BSA Tomahawk and the Mountain Man Tomahawk Competition Guidelines.

It now had three defined throwing lanes, target bullseye is at four feet and the landscape timbers are intended to define the lanes and prevent side are throws.

We also have two portable throwing stations for things like Camp and Shoot and Sportsfest.

A special thanks to Toby McAdams for his research and willingness to take the lead on this project.

Again, thanks to all of you!
