Dale Schuster was one of the men who initially incorporated Tri-City Gun Club. He was also past president of the ORA.
Tri-City Gun Club was Incorporated in 1975 along with T.N. Pool, Robert Sims and John Stokesbury. Initially incorporated with and address of Midwest City, Tri-City referred to Del City, Oklahoma City and Midwest City due to membership. I am told that this group of gentlemen purchased hunting leases together. The first meeting I attended was in Del City.
The Purpose of Tri-City Gun Club as stated in the Articles is to provide firearms safety; promote sports shooting; and provide a safe place for target shooting.
In March 1993, the Incorporation was amended to a Not for Profit by club Secretary Jerry Black and Club President Walt Nagy. This allowed for the purchase of land where Tri-City currently resides and provided an avenue to promote Gun Safety to the public with events like Sportsfest, Women on Target, Hunters Education and Boy Scout Camp and Shoot.
