Hello, my son is a member of the Johnston County Shooting Sports Team. He is a Congenital Heart Defect Survivor, and this year, he is hosting a Trap Shoot Contest benefitting the American Heart Association. We are trying to get the word out about the event, and wanted to invite 4-H Trap Shooters to come and participate in the event. The event will be for shooters of all ages. Please see the attached flyer and help me spread the word!

Our condolences are with the family and friends of long time member Ed Nechtaval.  I know he helped teach my family how to reload.  Ed passed away January 30th.

Starting 2/7 thru 2/10 AT&T will be going thru the range to the river to splice the fiber optic cable.  I will not be closing the shotgun ranges.  They will contact me by phone when they are entering and leaving the range and I will notify any shooters on the range to stop shooting during entry and exit.

The goal is to not shoot up the target stands.  An example of how not to shoot is below.  See the orange arrows where the target was in front of the board and tore up the stand.

Approximately Thursday January 25, construction will begin on the Bathroom ramp and handicap parking.

The bathrooms will remain open during construction.   The project will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.  As always weather is a factor!

Thanks for your understanding and be careful around the work area!

Tanner Williams 1st, Jesse Tingler 2nd, David Foley 3rd.

We had a nice turnout today of a dozen shooters and lots of volunteers, so we were able to shoot all three bays!

A huge "Thank you" to Tanner Williams, who surprised us by showing up with 4 fence panels he made with orange construction fence and PVC pipe, making it super easy for 3 Gun and Practical Pistol to set up some walls.

In the not too distant future we'll look at getting together and making a number of these.

Thank you to everyone for showing up early and helping to setup and tear down.

Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Years and we'll see you at Practical Pistol next month.

    Eric Bauman
